The new AirportAcademy at Munich Airport is the second building at LabCampus and reflects the fundamental idea of the network. A place of knowledge, dialogue and encounters has been created in an inspiring learning environment. Residents here benefit from premium technology in the seminar rooms, stylish breakout zones and a spacious, versatile gastronomy area. In addition to the various spaces, the Academy has a number of interesting training options – including for external participants. Besides its range of open courses, the AirportAcademy also develops individual training courses for companies – if you are interested, you can get in touch here.
THE neW airport Academy
For over 30 years, the AirportAcademy at Munich Airport has been committed to training and qualification. It shares the finest expertise in all airport- and security-related matters with a direct practical focus. The AirportAcademy embraces highly innovative training methods and learning formats – taught by high-calibre consultants and leading experts in matters of current and future relevance. Click here and get an overview of the content and range of services in greater detail.
On the ground floor of the new AirportAcademy there are learning workshops for internal training courses covering airport operations and (digital) security. The range of training courses and marketing measures are being expanded in order to use the unique connection to the airport and the local knowledge as a collaborative tool. In the future, for example, LabCampus residents will also be able to use the highly modern VR/AR room – which has been designed for airport operations training courses – for conducting all kinds of tests.
Seminar rooms of various sizes with state-of-the-art equipment and hospitality facilities are also managed by the Academy and can be hired both internally and externally. The seminar rooms provide direct access to the inner courtyard and surrounding terrace. There are also numerous freely accessible seating options in the building, which can be used in workshops or as breakout zones.
With space for up to 250 people, the catering facilities in the AirportAcademy will be the largest in the first quarter. Smaller areas can easily be created, enabling the midday restaurant to be transformed into a café in the afternoon or an exclusive à la carte restaurant in the evening. Thanks to the wide space opening onto the lobby and an attractive stepped seating area, where people can simply spend time relaxing or engaging in some spontaneous co-working, there are no limits to how this place of encounters can be used.
Pleasant working conditions are created by solar control glass, external electrically operated sun protection and internal integrable blinds.
Mechanical ventilation and thermally activated building structures with radiant heating and cooling panels in the rental spaces create the ideal climate.
LAB 52 is integrated into the airport’s security concept, guaranteeing high standards of security at all times of the day and night.
Fast Internet goes without saying thanks to the fibre-optic cable connection. Flexible and needs-based technical fit-outs are made possible by the raised access flooring.
